We are partnered with:
KitAid:
For the past three years READ International have been collecting kits from local football clubs and taking them out to Tanzania each summer. Sport is an essential part of any education system, and Tanzania is no different. Except, as with textbooks, sports equipment is unavailable to the majority of Tanzanian school children.
On our own however, we could only achieve a limited amount. We were unable to collate enough to ‘kit out’ every school we visited.
Kit Aid is a charity that collects football kit from all the major football clubs in the UK and passes them on to other organisations, like READ International, to deliver to children and adults across Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.
Together we will deliver complete sets of football kits, footballs and other sports equipment to over 250 schools in Tanzania.
Oxfam:
As part of our Schools Project we have teamed up with Oxfam to produce interactive workshops for secondary school students across the UK. Oxfam will help train and provide support for our student volunteers who will deliver these workshops in an aim to open young people’s minds to global issues and encouraging a proactive response.
